Terms of service

Overview

Welcome to Arventi. These Terms of Service ("Terms") explain the rules for using our website and buying from us. "We", "us" and "our" mean Arventi. "You" means the person using our website or placing an order.

Please read these Terms carefully before placing an order. By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use our website.

These Terms are intended for consumers. Nothing in these Terms affects your legal rights as a consumer, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. If anything in these Terms appears to conflict with those rights, your legal rights take priority.

You can contact us by email at Info@ArventiShop.com. We aim to reply within 2 working days.

Our online store is hosted by Shopify, which provides the technology that allows us to sell to you. Your contract is with Arventi, not Shopify.

1. Using our website and your account

1.1 You must be at least 18 years old to place an order. If you allow a child to use our website on a device you manage, you are responsible for their use of it.

1.2 When you order, we'll ask for information such as your name, email address, delivery address and payment details. Please make sure this information is accurate, complete and kept up to date.

1.3 If you create an account, keep your login details secure and don't share them. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has accessed your account. You may not transfer or sell your account to anyone else.

2. Our products

2.1 We take care to describe and show our products accurately. Product images are for illustration. Colours may look slightly different on your screen depending on your device and settings, and small variations in finish or packaging can occur. This does not affect your right to receive goods that match their description (see Section 7).

2.2 We may change product descriptions, stop selling a product, or limit the quantity of a product any one customer can buy. Any change won't affect an order we have already accepted, unless the change is needed to comply with the law or for safety reasons, in which case we'll tell you and you can cancel for a full refund.

2.3 Products are sold for personal and household use. Please tell us before ordering if you intend to buy for business purposes, as different terms may apply.

3. Orders

3.1 When you place an order, you are making an offer to buy. We'll email you to acknowledge your order, but this does not mean it has been accepted. A contract between you and us is formed when we email you to confirm that your order has been dispatched (the "Dispatch Confirmation").

3.2 We may decline an order, for example if a product is out of stock, we can't deliver to your address, we suspect fraud, or there is an obvious pricing error (see Section 14). If we decline your order, we'll tell you and refund any payment in full.

3.3 You can cancel your order at any time before it is dispatched by contacting us, and you will also have the right to cancel after delivery as set out in Section 6.

3.4 If we have to cancel an accepted order (for example because a product becomes unavailable), we'll tell you as soon as possible and refund you in full, including any delivery charges.

4. Prices and payment

4.1 Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT [where applicable]. Delivery charges are shown at checkout before you pay. The price you pay is the price shown when you place your order, as set out in your order confirmation.

4.2 If you order for delivery outside the UK, import duties, taxes or customs charges may apply. These are your responsibility unless we tell you otherwise at checkout.

4.3 We may run promotions with their own terms. If a promotion's terms conflict with these Terms, the promotion's terms apply to that promotion, but they won't reduce your legal rights.

4.4 Payment is taken when you place your order. You confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method you provide. Payments are processed securely, and we do not store your full card details.

5. Delivery

5.1 Estimated delivery times are shown at checkout and in your Dispatch Confirmation. Unless we agree a different date with you, we will deliver your order within 30 days of the contract being formed.

5.2 We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, carrier disruption or customs checks. If this happens, we'll let you know and do what we reasonably can to reduce the delay. If the delay is significant, you can cancel and receive a full refund for any products not yet received.

5.3 Your order is our responsibility until it is delivered to you or to someone you have nominated to receive it. Ownership of the products passes to you once we have received full payment, and responsibility for them (risk) passes to you on delivery.

5.4 If nobody is available to receive your order, the carrier may leave a card explaining how to rearrange delivery or collect it. If you don't collect or rearrange delivery, we may cancel the order and refund you, less any reasonable costs we incurred.

6. Your right to change your mind (cancellation)

6.1 You have the right to cancel your contract within 14 days without giving a reason. The cancellation period ends 14 days after the day you (or someone you nominate) receive the goods. If your order is delivered in parts, the period ends 14 days after you receive the last item.

6.2 To cancel, tell us clearly before the period ends, for example by emailing Info@ArventiShop.com with your name, order number and the items you're cancelling. You can also use the model cancellation form. You don't have to use it.

6.3 You must return the goods without undue delay and no later than 14 days after telling us you're cancelling.

6.4 We'll refund the price you paid, including standard delivery charges for the original order, within 14 days of receiving the goods back or receiving proof that you have returned them, whichever is earlier. We'll use the same payment method you used, unless you agree otherwise. If you chose a more expensive delivery option, we only have to refund the cost of our cheapest standard delivery.

6.5 You may handle the goods only as you would in a shop to check them. We may reduce your refund to reflect any loss in value caused by handling them more than that.

6.6 The right to cancel does not apply to: goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised; goods that perish quickly; and sealed goods that are unsuitable for return for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed.

6.7 This right is in addition to your rights if goods are faulty (Section 7).

7.1 We are under a legal duty to supply goods that are of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. Your main rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are:

  • Up to 30 days: if your goods are faulty or not as described, you can reject them and get an immediate full refund.
  • Up to six months: if your goods can't be repaired or replaced, you're entitled to a full refund in most cases. A fault that appears within six months of delivery is presumed to have existed at delivery, unless we can show otherwise.
  • Up to six years (five in Scotland): if your goods don't last a reasonable length of time, you may be entitled to some money back.

7.2 To report a fault, contact us at Info@ArventiShop.com with your order number, a description of the problem and, if possible, photos. If goods are faulty or incorrect, we'll cover reasonable return costs.

7.3 Your legal rights don't cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, failure to follow the product's instructions, alterations you make, or normal wear and tear.

7.4 For more detailed information, visit Citizens Advice or your local Trading Standards office. Nothing in these Terms affects these legal rights.

8. Products made by third parties

8.1 Arventi is a retailer. We do not design or manufacture the products we sell. They are made by third-party manufacturers and supplied to us or shipped on our behalf by third-party suppliers.

8.2 Any manufacturer's guarantee or warranty that comes with a product is provided by the manufacturer, in addition to your legal rights against us under Section 7.

8.3 Please read and follow all instructions, warnings, age guidance and safety information supplied with a product. Use products only for their intended purpose.

8.4 To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for loss or damage caused by misuse of a product, use contrary to its instructions or warnings, alterations made by you or anyone other than us, or normal wear and tear.

8.5 Nothing in this Section limits our responsibility to you as the seller of the goods, or any liability we may have under the Consumer Protection Act 1987, and Section 18.3 applies.

9. Relationship with Shopify

9.1 Arventi is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you. However, any sales and purchases you make in our Store are made directly with Arventi. By using the Services, you acknowledge and agree that Shopify is not responsible for any aspect of any sales between you and Arventi, including any injury, damage, or loss resulting from purchased products and services. You hereby expressly release Shopify and its affiliates from all claims, damages, and liabilities arising from or related to your purchases and transactions with Arventi.

10.1 Our website may give you access to tools provided by third parties (for example, payment, review or chat services) and links to third-party websites. We don't control these and aren't responsible for their content or how they operate.

10.2 Your use of third-party tools and websites is subject to their own terms and privacy policies, which you should read. Questions or complaints about a third party's products or services should go to that third party.

10.3 This Section doesn't affect our responsibility for products you buy from us.

11. Shopify

11.1 Our store is hosted on Shopify. Any purchase you make on our website is made with Arventi, not Shopify, and Arventi is responsible to you for your purchase. Shopify is not a party to the contract between you and us.

12. Privacy

12.1 We process your personal data in line with UK data protection law, including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why, and your rights.

12.2 Because our store is hosted by Shopify, Shopify also processes personal data about your use of our website. Some data may be transferred to and processed outside the UK, with appropriate safeguards in place. See our Privacy Policy and Shopify's Privacy Policy for details.

13. Reviews and feedback

13.1 If you post a review or send us feedback, ideas or other content ("Feedback"), you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use, reproduce, publish and display it in any media, including to promote our products. We may show your first name or username with your review.

13.2 Your Feedback must be honest, reflect your own genuine experience, and must not be unlawful, offensive, defamatory or infringe anyone else's rights. You must tell us if you received any incentive for a review, and we will make this clear when we display it.

13.3 We may moderate or remove Feedback that breaks these rules. We do not write, buy or commission fake reviews, and we do not hide genuine negative reviews.

13.4 We don't have to keep Feedback confidential, pay for it or respond to it.

14. Errors on our website

14.1 Occasionally our website may contain errors in product descriptions, prices, availability or delivery information. We'll correct errors as soon as we become aware of them.

14.2 If a product's price is obviously wrong and you could reasonably have recognised the error, we may cancel your order, even after the contract has been formed, and refund any amount you've paid. If the error is not obvious, we'll contact you to ask whether you'd like to go ahead at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

15. Prohibited uses

15.1 You may use our website only for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • use it in a way that breaks any law or regulation, or is fraudulent;
  • infringe our intellectual property or anyone else's;
  • harass, abuse, threaten or defame our staff or anyone else;
  • submit false or misleading information, or impersonate anyone;
  • send spam or unsolicited advertising;
  • upload viruses or other harmful code, or try to gain unauthorised access to our website, servers or systems;
  • collect other people's personal data from our website;
  • use any robot, scraper, data-mining tool or other automated means to access our website, except as allowed under Section 16; or
  • bypass any security feature or measure we use to restrict access to our website.

15.2 If you break these rules, we may suspend or close your account and block your access to our website.

16. Automated agents

16.1 This Section applies if you use or allow an "Agent" to access or interact with our website. An Agent is any software or service that acts autonomously or semi-autonomously for a person or organisation without direct human supervision (for example, an AI shopping assistant).

16.2 An Agent may access our website only if it:

  • identifies itself in every HTTP/HTTPS request by including "Agent/[agent name]" in its user agent string;
  • does not hide that it is an Agent, including by mimicking human behaviour or completing or bypassing CAPTCHAs or similar checks;
  • answers truthfully if asked whether it is a human or a computer; and
  • does not get around any measure we use to block, limit or control Agent access.

16.3 We may ask an Agent to stop accessing our website, and we may limit or block Agent access by technical means. If you instruct an Agent to place an order, you are responsible for that order as if you had placed it yourself.

17. Suspension and termination

17.1 We may suspend or end your access to our website or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms. Where reasonable, we'll tell you why.

17.2 Closing your account does not affect any order we have already accepted, any amounts you owe us, or your legal rights, including your rights under Sections 6 and 7.

17.3 Sections that by their nature should continue after termination (including Sections 9, 13, 18, 19 and 21 to 23) will continue to apply.

18. Our responsibility for loss or damage

18.1 If we fail to comply with these Terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it was obvious it would happen or if, when the contract was made, both we and you knew it might happen.

18.2 We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable. We only supply products for domestic and private use, so we have no liability to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.

18.3 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for:

  • death or personal injury caused by our negligence or the negligence of our employees, agents or subcontractors;
  • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
  • breach of your legal rights in relation to the products, including the right to receive goods that are as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose;
  • defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987; or
  • any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

19. Our website

19.1 Information on our website is provided for general information. We try to keep it accurate and up to date, but we don't guarantee that it is complete or error-free. This doesn't affect our duty to describe our products accurately or your rights under Section 7.

19.2 We don't guarantee that our website will always be available, uninterrupted or free from errors or viruses. We may suspend or change the website for maintenance or other business reasons. You should use your own virus protection software.

20. Your responsibility

20.1 If you break these Terms in a way that causes us loss (for example, by fraudulent use of our website, infringing our intellectual property, or posting unlawful Feedback), you may be responsible for the reasonable, foreseeable losses we suffer as a result, including reasonable legal costs.

21. General

21.1 Severability. If a court or other authority decides that any part of these Terms is unlawful or unenforceable, the rest of these Terms will remain in full force.

21.2 No waiver. If we don't enforce our rights straight away, we can still enforce them later.

21.3 Entire agreement. These Terms, together with your order and the policies referred to in them, are the whole agreement between you and us about your purchase.

21.4 Transfer. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to another organisation. We'll tell you if this happens, and it won't reduce your rights. You may transfer your rights under these Terms to another person only with our written consent, which we won't unreasonably refuse. A manufacturer's guarantee may be transferable under its own terms.

21.5 Third parties. Nobody other than you and us has any right to enforce these Terms.

21.6 Headings are for convenience only and do not affect how these Terms are read.

22. Complaints and disputes

22.1 If you have a problem, please contact us first at Info@ArventiShop.com. We'll aim to resolve it quickly and fairly.

22.2 If we can't resolve your complaint, you may be able to use an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) service. We are not currently obliged to use an ADR provider and do not do so. You can also get free advice from Citizens Advice.

23. Governing law and jurisdiction

23.1 These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings about our products in the courts of England and Wales.

23.2 If you live in Scotland, you can bring proceedings in either the Scottish or the English courts. If you live in Northern Ireland, you can bring proceedings in either the Northern Irish or the English courts.

24. Changes to these Terms

24.1 We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the law or how we operate. The version that applies to your order is the version on our website when you place that order.

24.2 We'll tell you about significant changes that affect you, for example by email if you have an account. Changes won't apply to orders already placed.

These Terms were last updated on October 4, 2026.
